Important Election Info

Get out and vote at the next General Okotoks Municipal Election on Monday, October 20, 2025. Be prepared to vote - visit the voting page to find out what proper ID to bring. You can also check the searchable address map to find the voting location nearest you, and find estimated wait times for each voting location on election day.

Municipal elections are held every four years, at which time residents elect one Mayor and six Councillors to a four-year term. In Okotoks, Council members are elected at-large, which means the Mayor and Councillors represent the entire population rather than a geographical ward.  Voters choose up to six candidates for Council, and one candidate for Mayor.
