Okotoks Fire & Rescue responded to a house fire on Westridge Road and were on scene after the 9-1-1 call at 11:49 p.m. within seven minutes after notification. Fire crews worked quickly to contain and isolate the fire to one structure, limiting exposure to adjacent homes. One firefighter received treatment at a local hospital for a dog bite.
Okotoks Fire & Rescue were supported, through mutual aid agreements with an additional engine from Foothills County. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
